A photo shoot for DRAFT magazine

June 30, 2010

Had my second shoot for DRAFT magazine today, and yes, that's draft as in beer. They are an all beer magazine published in Phoenix, AZ. (Which is coincidentally where my younger brother lives) They have a special section for chef's who use beer and alcohol in their recipes. This time I headed over to Betty restaurant in Queen Anne where their pastry chef Brittany has created the Original Sin Apple Pie, using Original Sin Hard Pear Cider. The pie is served warn with caramel sauce and a piece cheese. Delicious!

Look for the photos in next quarter's issue of DRAFT magazine!

The Scene It man

March 25, 2010

I got a job this week from a former newspaper college who now runs the Western Washington University Alumni magazine. I headed downtown to photograph Scott Harrington at his office in Pioneer Square. He works at the company that makes the Scene It games and is an avid Seattle Sounders fan. He and his family was headed to that nights opening game at Qwest Field just a few blocks away, same I was that evening. Go Sounders!

Cyndi Soup and Tim Noah

January 22, 2010

Cyndi Soup and Tim Noah own the Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater in Snohomish and they specialize in childrens and community performances. They are singers, songwriters, puppeteers and performers. They often take their shows on the road and this portrait we did today is a promo for their upcoming show, Kerplunk! which will be touring the King and Snohomish county libraries this summer.
I've done quite a few advertising portraits for Cyndi and Tim, here are some of the ones I've done over the past few years for their joint and individual shows. It's always an adventure!

senior photos: take 2 - Sydney

October 12, 2009

More senior photos! These ones were done at the University of Washington campus. Turns out Nathan Hale senior Sydney and her mom live near me and Sydney's mom work for the UW, so the location was perfect. The UW look great in the fall, as the leaves change colors. We also ventured into the library for some indoor shots. All in all, it was a great session. They wanted something unique for her photos, something that reflected her more than the normal studio portrait session and they were really happy with the result.

Senoir portraits: take one

October 6, 2009

Today I got the chance to photograph my first senior photos of the year. Long time family friend's for Redmond asked my to photograph their senior year son, Ben at their home. He was a lot of fun and his parents were on hand to tease, joke and get some great smiles out of him.

Photos!

Let the new school year begin!

This years highlights - March

March 14, 2008

In March I teamed up with Amanda from Studio Sevyn, a Vancouver hair salon, a really awesome place and the only people I trust with my hair! She and I teamed up to offer some joint wedding services; she does fantastic bridal hair and make-up and I do the photography so we did a trial run weekend and invited a group of brides to be and past brides to come to the studio for a day of bridal portraits! Hear are some of my favorites.

We decided on a 5% discount for anyone who books the both of us together. It's fun to work with your friends, especially when they are as talented as Amanda is!
